I have been searching a lot on different products, but heard good and bad things about each product, and I can't always make out which are unbiased sources, and can't decide what to do. Have you got any advice for a suitable product? Thanks

Hi thanks for using the forum.

The only medication which is proven to stop hair loss and can grow back some lost hair is Propecia. Propecia is the only licensed prescription medication which is proven to stop hair loss in men in the world.

I thought Minoxidil was also proven to be effective?
Anyways, I have read some bad things about Propecia and their sexual side effects so it kind of puts me off!

hi, as you have be told Propeca is the only proven drug on the market ,and ive taken it myself for 12months only because l was talked into having it after my first hairtransplant it had to many side affects for me and its only any good to retain your hair while taking it which happens in about 95% of men and a regrowth of fine hair in 40% this is after 12 months of taking it and it will all fall out once stopped so you would have to take it for life! no drug is good for you long term and after all this it is a anti cancer drug never intended for hair regrowth, l personaly wouldn't advise taking any drugs wait till you think your ready and have a transplant they work l was a norwood grade 6 l had 2 h/ts here in the uk and they transformed my life l bought a comb 2007 the first in 25 years ,its the only way to go you will only waste your money on the drugs and lotions forget them.your welcome to contact me for any info on gbb-uk at hotmail com

According to me, Propecia is very good and beneficial drug without any side effects and it proves to be very effective and it is a very light medicine and worth to use.

I have receding hairline since last 5 yrs. I tried many drugs, shampoos, gels and many other things and i settled for Propecia Finasteride since last two years.

Propecia is the best medicine for hair loss. I'm using Propecia for year and half. I too had side effects in the beginning and as my body got used to it slowly, most of the side effects disappeared. I believe your problem is you stopped medication after 6 doses. Propecia is long term medication. You have to continue at least for six months.

After year and a half, today 80% of my receding hairline disappeared with negligible side effects.
