How do you treat dandruff related hair loss?

Washing your hair with a good quality shampoo and conditioner choosing the mildest option is best I think. Don't use baby shampoo. Surprisingly or not so surprisingly your diet can affect your scalp. How's your stress levels. My goodness hair loss sounds pretty drastic at any time dandruff or not. Have a massage. Take a float. Meditate or something. Good luck with the western quick fix or Chinese herbalist or whomever you see.

I have suffered from terrible dandruff since I was 18 and I am sure this contributed to my hair loss in my 20's.
I tried all the usual stuff and even found that Head and Shoulders and Vosene actually made my dandruff worse. When Nizoral came out, that worked for a few days at a time, but I had a terrible reaction to it.

Later I tried a stuff from Schwartzkopf Bonacure which was a dandruff lotion that you applied to your scalp and didn't wash it off, actually that was pretty good. You can see it on this site (which is awkward to use):- ( no links please)

I then started using a new hair loss product called ProFusion and found I no longer had to use the Schwartzkopf lotion because the ProFusion was sorting my dandruff as well. You can find this on:- (link removed) I found it helpful and I would imagine you could use it with Minoxidil or Propecia (although I've never tried Propecia myself).

I know that dandruff is caused by a yeast infection, so I would guess why these work is that they either have something in them which kills the yeast or creates an environment which makes it difficult for the yeast to grow.

I believe that whenever you had a problem of dandruff you simply needs to go for some good quality oil message like with sweet almond oil or olive oil which is the best.

Also, you can use nizoral shampoo which is also very good for the prevention of dandruff. i must say it is better to avoid oily food also.

I think dandruf is really very harmful for your hair. If you believe in natural therapy then u can try this one as it really works. Take coconut oil and put lemon drops in it. warm it and massage it in your head with your finger tips for 10 minutes such that all your scalp get wet with oil in evening. leave that for whole night. wash your hair with a natural shampoo for dry hairs. wash hair properly so that no shampoo remains in your hair pores. and apply some light hair oil in small quantity in the roots of your hair while your hair is half wet. try this procedure on the interval of 2 days. don't use anti-dandruff shampoos.

I used to experience a problem with dandruff but, I cured it by simply washing my hair every day making sure the scalp, was thoroughly "scrubbed" with my hands.

It sound simply but you must wash your hair every day, dry thoroughly after the wash and then dry ur scalp. Some of the so called tretments out there are just money makin schemes. Try this, for at least a month and see whether it works for u.
