No idea in general, but I do know a few men (my grandpa among them) who had receding hairlines for a decade or more, and never grew bald. I think it's just different for different men, how much hair they're going to loose. Remember, growing completely bald as a golf-ball is very unusual. Most men loose some hair and retain some, usually on the back & sides of their heads. It's a matter of HOW MUCH they loose. And also, I think the process continues throughout the man's life.

By the looks of your picture you have a full head of hair, losing hair is natural and doesnt always mean your going bald.

Another thing to look at when it comes to a receding hair line is to do with ur barber and the way they cut your hair over the years, which over & over again means shaving the hair at the edges, which after a while stops the hair from growing which leads them to push further in side and shave deeper and deeper inside. A barber, once told me about this about 10 years ago and I have seen the effects of the constant shaving around the hair line over the years on many other people! Since he told me or rather tipped me of, I do not allow any barber near my hair line!
